Title: Love So Sweet, Interlude #2
Pairing: Ohno/OC, Arashi/non-Johnny's females
Rating: G - PG-13
Genre: Romance, friendship, family
Disclaimer: I don't own any of Arashi, or anything of Johnny's Entertainment. And sorry if I've misused any Japanese phrases.
Summary: Sakurai Sho is the cousin of our heroine, the young Rina. She has not seen Sho since she was a little girl growing up in the US. But now, Rina is in Japan as an exchange student and is living with the Sakurai family. Through Sho, she meets the charming, baka power-group Arashi and falls into the strange world of the entertainment industry. She had come to Japan for her music, not for love. Never had she anticipated how much she would be changed by a certain unexpected, adorable Leader.
Ohno Satoshi certainly is not the romantic, suave type, and could really care less about love. He is content with being the extremely talented (yet sleepy) Riida of Arashi, and doing art and going fishing. But when his Sho's pretty cousin suddenly enters his life, he suddenly has something worth fighting for.

Just a random Ohno/Rina pairing I really wanted to put up :)

In a pocket of the maze-like city of Tokyo, a young couple could be seen bustling down the empty roadway. The man kept a cap pulled over his soft eyes that glanced down every now and then with endearment at his lovely companion who checked her watch every few moments. Up ahead, the shrill ringing bell and flashing lights interrupted them on their way to an important engagement.
“Come on, let’s hurry!” Katsumi Rina insisted, pulling Ohno Satoshi by the hand.
“There’s no point in trying to beat the train.” Ohno whined tiredly tagging behind.
A low rumbling heard in the distance grew louder and louder each second and the barricade lowered down inch by inch, but Rina continued to rush forward. Suddenly seeing her speed moving closer to the rattling tracks, Ohno’s gut twisted in fear. This wasn’t her New York; she couldn’t just cross like that! He raced up, patiently caught her by the waist with a strong arm, and spun her around to safety. By the time she pulled out of his grasp, the deafening train came rumbling through the scene at full force. The rush of violent wind blew Rina’s long dark hair across her frustrated expression.
While they tensely waited for the roaring train to pass, a precious memory materialized in Ohno’s head.
----- It was late August 2013, and Ohno had been up for almost 30 hours straight. Arashi had hosted 24 Hour TV once again that summer. Needless to say, after the strenuous telethon had concluded, the idol’s normal levels of sleepiness were tripled. Even the weak sun was blinding and he couldn’t tell exactly what time of day it was as he dragged himself back up to his apartment. In his stupor he didn’t even notice the extra pair of floral shoes in his foyer.
Then, Ohno shuffled through his living room and did a double take - Rina was there curled up fast asleep on his couch. He had given her the key to his place months before, but this was the first time that she had actually used it at her liberty. Ohno tip-toed closer and was startled to see dried streaks of tears running down her fair cheeks. He pulled the covers further over her shoulders.
This gentle touch stirred Rina awake. She cracked open her heavy eyes and realizing who it was, immediately reached out and fiercely wrapped her arms around him.
“You - you’re back…! Yokatta…” she cried groggily.
“Rina, what are you doing here?” Ohno kindly half-choked.
“I stayed up with you, ne, for support. Watched the whole thing.”
“Ah, sou… Arigatou.” When she still would not let go he muttered in concern, “Doushita no?”
Fresh tears spilled out as she wryly laughed to herself. “I saw your special. It really scared me.”
The traditional movie special for 24hrTV had featured Ohno as a dying cancer patient going through the process of grieving along with his family. The touching cast had greatly resembled the real people in his life, and it had taken a toll on his already-thin body. Throughout filming for Kyou no hi wo Sayounara, it had gotten him wondering what he would do if he fatefully found his days so limited. He decided that he would want to spend it all doing normal things and making simple memories as usual with his family - this included Rina, too.
Ohno sighed and squeezed onto the couch with Rina’s warm weight pressed to his side. Although exhaustion lured him in waves, he had come to learn that there were some things even better than sleep.
“Rina, it was just a drama. Don’t be so upset.”
“But seeing you sick and hurting - it was so painful to watch.” She shifted and nestled her face in his neck. “Plus I was so angry that your girlfriend abandoned you, too.”
He chuckled smugly. “Well, it seems like my real-life girlfriend would have acted differently.”
“Definitely.”
Ohno restfully stroked the soft hair at the nape of Rina’s neck, a secret spot his hands always gravitated towards. He felt her breaths growing slower and deeper against his chest.
“You know I used to get hurt a lot when I was little, right?” he reminisced. “I was like a little monkey. Once, I grabbed a tin can around the jagged edge just because she told me not to - I had to get stitches. Then, I fell asleep when I was riding behind my dad on a bicycle, and my leg got caught… More stitches.”
“Such a troublesome child.” Rina chided drowsily.
“What I’m trying to say is - I’m unexpectedly tough.”
Her voice was barely at a whisper. “Don’t do anything too dangerous, okay? I don’t know what I’d do without you…”
“Nn.” he murmured with a lump in his throat. Soon Rina was completely silent, and he knew that she had fallen back asleep. Ohno closed his eyes and savored this morning. He didn’t want to imagine life without her, either. ------
The last railcar whizzed by, the warning bells fell silent, and the barricade rose to let them pass. This time, Ohno led the way. Taking Rina’s hand, they calmly proceeded forward. Now that he could be heard again Ohno pressed his lips to her ear and murmured, “Be more careful, ‘kay?”
