Happy 26th Birthday Nino :D This is a dedication to him, which I finished all in one day and will get out just before midnight, so it was a bit rushed. It's kind of a one-shot/tangent from Love So Sweet.

“Hai, stop there for a moment.” the man on the opposite side of the glass said calmly. “Let me adjust things a little.”
As the guy was busy flipping switches and turning knobs all over the high-tech dashboard, the cell in Nino’s pocket vibrated. It was a text from Ohno.
Ganbarre with the recording, Kazu :) I hope my lead is easy to follow!
“Okay. Again, please, from the beginning. A little stronger on the chorus.”

… I can never get that same scene
or that feeling back again,
So I wonder if I'm just looking back
on my dream that shined in the past…
Ninomiya’s throat started tightening. This was at least the seventh time he had sung this song (their single that would be coming out in a few months) yet the same memories brought the same emotions, as strong as ever. He fought with himself as he remembered the time to jump back in. Ohno’s strong, smooth voice was the only one coming through the headphones, for he had recorded first earlier that day, being the lead vocalist. They guided Nino to the next few lines of the song.
… Even if I say the broken wounded days
were a mistake, it's not too late…
It was a slow, melancholic but hopeful melody, full of soft instrumentals. He closed his eyes and continued. With so many of Arashi’s songs, he wondered what had inspired them, who wrote them. Despite their mass appeal, they really had heart to them.
As the seasons turn and turn
what color tomorrow will you paint?
If we strongly, strongly believe in each other
what color future will be waiting?
What color tomorrow will you paint?
Nino walked out of the recording booth, somewhat emotionally drained. To his surprise, he saw Ohno.
“Riida, what are you doing here? Didn’t you finish your part this morning?”
“Yeah, I did. I accidentally left my hat in here, though.” Ohno put back on his favorite trucker hat that said Let’s Talk Turkey, and smiled. Nino couldn’t believe that the man had walked out of the building without any sort of cover. “How was the recording?”
“Good. The song is nice.” Nino shrugged. “It’ll be popular, I suppose.” Like always. He often wondered if the fans would still buy their songs even if they were bad, just out of sheer loyalty.
“You look tired.” noted the ironically sleepy-looking man. “Want to go somewhere for lunch? I’m in the mood for Keikarou today.”
“If I’m driving, you’re paying.”
The two idols walked into the relatively nondescript Chinese restaurant in Chiba Prefecture.
“Irrashaimasen, Ninomiya-kun, Ohno-kun!” the middle-aged woman at the front beamed, rushing from behind the cash register. She was fairly tall for a woman, and had a long oval face.
“Konichiwa, Aiba oba-san (Auntie Aiba).” Yes, it was Aiba Masaki’s mother.
“How is work? It must be busy because you two haven’t come in awhile! Nino-kun’s mother still visits every now and then though. How is she? And your grandfather?” The lively woman continued her friendly chatter as would only be appropriate of a member’s mother, as she showed them to a table. “Order whatever you like. Today the bill is on me. I insist! I can’t take Masaki’s friends’ money, of course not.”
She left to take care of the other customers, who didn’t seem to notice the two celebrities despite their slightly showy city clothes. Nino marble eyes shifted to Ohno, down at his menu, then back to Ohno again with raised brows. Now it’s obvious Ohno was often silent, the type to stare off into space for five minutes straight before anyone noticed (according to Jun). However, after over ten years of knowing the guy (since Junior days), Nino could read these silences of his; at this moment, he could tell that the man had something on his mind, and that he wanted to say something.
“Sho would… kill me.” Ohno suddenly confessed. Then he went quiet again.
“… Eh? Nani? What are you talking about?”
“N-nevermind. Sorry.”
They were distracted as Aiba's mother delivered their steaming hot food herself.
"Here you go! How is it?"
“Ah, umai.” Ohno murmured, slurping his noodles.
"It's great, oba-san."
"Yokatta!" Her whole face lit up in a white-toothed, grateful beam that was unnervingly like her son's. They were easily pleased, especially when people approved of their efforts. (credit:

"So, tell me, what have you two been up to?" she grinned, pulling up a seat beside them. She was in the mood for gossip. "Found girlfriends yet?" she hissed.
"Ma (Well), you know we're not allowed to talk about that." Nino muttered, feeling a pang in his stomach again. He was trying not to let rudeness stem from his irritation.
"Come, you can tell me! Now I know that Sakurai-kun has had a lot of popularity lately, and Matsumoto-kun always has... but Nino-kun is a very handsome young man too, very talented. And Ohno-kun, for example. I went to see you guys, what was it, this past summer? It was at the Music Lovers station, I remember, and I went backstage to say hello to Masaki. And Ohno-kun, I saw you being very friendly with, I forget her name... yes, with Nakama (Yukie)-san!"
"Heh, well... that's..." Ohno could only laugh a little bashfully. He remembered their appearance on Music Lovers last August. *

Host: We asked Nakama-san.
Nakama: Yes!
Host: "Your own impression of "Arashi" is actually OO!" This is her answer. "I think they can't do it without Leader Ohno-san!"
Nino: We want to know why you thought this way...
Kusamoto: We want to, don't we?
Nakama: How should I put it? I see that he may have some parts that look unreliable, but...
Jun: He really is unreliable.
Nino: That's as far as you've seen right, as far as you've seen.
Nakama: As far as I've seen.
Nino: As far as you've seen.
Nakama: Even so, I do have the image that there are parts where he somehow supports them emotionally.
Nino: It'd be great if that was true.
Ohno: But, really... really, at lives, before it starts, they all really depend on me.
Nino: Huh, really?
Host: For example, if Leader wasn't there,
Aiba: Yes.
Host: you can't choose a random person just because Leader isn't there.
Kusamoto: Ah, I see.
Host: So clearly his presence is...
Nino: Ah, we can decide on someone even if he's not there.
Ohno: For that.
Host: You'll choose someone.
Nino: We will.
"I swear you two were really flirting! Especially backstage!" the woman continued.
"Ahno, honestly... there's nothing going on." he said. Not anymore, anyway.
"That's too bad. You two would have made a beautiful couple, ne..."
Nino hid his smirk/grimace as Aiba's mother got up to attend to the other customers. While he was fond of the woman, it was just like being teased by any other older family member - aggravating. He frowned at his friend.
"Wha'?" Ohno asked mid-gulp. His cheeks were full of food.
"You aren't annoyed at all? By her mentioning Nakama-san..."
"Nope." he said simply. He took his time to chew and swallow and think. Then finally, "Why should I be?"
"It's just..."
"Are you jealous?" Ohno grinned devilishly.
"Gah, no!" Still, he couldn't help but laugh. Ohno pestered him a bit more, but settled down again.
"I dunno, I guess since things between us are totally fine." he shrugged. "No bad feelings, nothing to brood over. It's been at least a month." A month since they'd broken up. And everyone knew that he got over things and moved on rather easily.
Nino only nodded in reply, which was just fine with his friend, who also figured that it wasn't the best time to bring up the subject of Toda Erika, either. They ate without saying another word, but it wasn’t an awkward silence or anything.
By the time they had finished (which was a pretty short amount of time, but they were used to rushing their eating because of their busy schedules), Nino felt much better. The delicious food was comforting, and his Leader’s serene presence was calming in itself. It was a bit irritating how mellow he could be, but at the same time, it was inspiring. Nino forgot about being regretful or bitter for the moment. He would probably never admit it, but he was glad that he had this stable, baka guy in his life. Ohno noticed Nino's improved mood, which in turn made him happy too.
"Ah, almost forgot - let's check the message book." It was a large album full of blank pages, left for fans who visited the restaurant to leave messages of support for Aiba and Arashi. The latest entry, from the tentative handwriting, seemed to be from a kid.
Ninomiya-san,
I don't know if you're ever going to see this, but I just wanted to say that you're my favorite idol! I want to be a great singer and actor like you someday, maybe even go to Hollywood. I hope you star in a new drama soon!
Ganbatte, Shichiro.
They walked out of the small restaurant with arms slung around each other’s shoulders - this did turn heads.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5DT97LF1wk Watch this youtube video of them on Music Lovers. The Nakama/Ohno section is near the end... I swear they were making eyes o.o *is jealous* but this is purely my speculation of course. The Nakama Yukie thing will play out later on in the story though!
Hope that was okay! I'm not used to writing fluff, especially not between two guys 0_o... I tried focusing on Nino, but of course it kind of veered back to Ohno XD
And why would Sho kill him? Because he likes his precious baby cousin! hehe
