I think the problem is that most of the guys down here are into other guys. And the guys who aren't realize that Orlando is teeming with hot single girls so why settle down (dumb boy logic!) Someone I work with said she has resigned herself to the fact that as long as she lives in Orlando she will be single.
I say, when Prince Charming arrives, he will arrive and the slipper will fit. You can only have so many balls in the air before they start crashing down around you and it sounds like you have plenty on your plate right now. I wouldn't worry too much a guy not wanting to support you through gradschool and your career and stuff. The right one will.

"Maybe living in neverland where you never actually have to grow up allows me to still savor my inner childhood"

I miss that. I miss living in a place like that. Here, everyone is pushing me to grow up. It annoys me.

No you're totally right. And believe me, you're not one of those people. I think Jen was right too. There are too many boys in Orlando looking for their Prince Charmings and not their Princesses. ;) Yeah, and have I mentioned how many of THOSE I am in love with?

I'm glad that things have worked out for you and Jason. I think people like you or Jen are good examples. I mean, no relationship is perfect. I guess its even harder for me to relate as an outsider as I've never even come close to getting engaged, let alone married. Someday, someday. Maybe. Or maybe I'll be like Mandy Moore in "Because I said so" and strive to be like her mother - an independent woman who was single and completely content with it, ha ha.
