Does anyone have any information on how to volunteer to help out on thanksgiving at local soup kitchens or homeless shelters??

I know it's early, but my mom and i were thinking about forgoing our usual sitdown dinner at the "we're better than you are" relative's house to help others...

if anyone knows of anything, please let me know!

i used to volunteer at kid's cafe, a place where children in need can go for a hot meal and participate in different activities. i'm pretty sure that they do a big thanksgiving dinner there. if you're interested, i can find the number for you.

I voulenteered a few times at the Open Door Mission, I don't exactly know where it is now cuz I was younger when I did it but it was a good time and the people seemed very thankful that we were cooking for them. I'm sure their number is in the phonebook or somewhere online. *hugs*
