Summary: Sam has always believed in God and angels. He’d known about the archangel Gabriel since he was a kid, but now that very same archangel is... flirting with him? And, oh God, he’s very serious about this. This was not what Sam expected from an archangel.
A/N: First attempt at this ship. This is for
Sabriel Week on Tumblr.
Sam was pretty sure Gabriel had been flirting with him for several months. He was constantly making innuendo and would occasionally touch Sam in ways that skirted that friendship-relationship boundary. Sometime a pat on the back would last a bit longer than normal. Other times he’d just reach out and rest a hand on Sam’s arm when they talked. Though the hand never stayed there longer than a few seconds, it still felt far more intimate than a touch between mere friends. Sam convinced himself it was just Gabriel being Gabriel, but sometimes he’d let himself believe it was real. Sometimes he even admitted to himself that he wanted it to be real.
If Gabriel were a normal person, Sam would be seriously questioning his sexuality and considering flirting back to test the waters. But Gabriel wasn’t a normal person. He was an angel. An archangel. One that Sam had read a lot about long before he knew for a fact that angels were real. He’d known about Gabriel almost his entire life. Sam’s life was typically pretty weird already, but this seemed particularly out there.
One night Sam was standing in the kitchenette of their latest motel room holding a glass when the archangel popped into existence directly in front of him. It was the first time they’d been alone together since Sam had started cataloguing the behavior and trying to analyze it. He momentarily wondered if that would change anything. Was he was completely misinterpreting the whole situation?
The archangel simply looked around the room and smirked. “You here alone, kiddo?”
“Uh... yeah, Dean’s driving to the next town to pick up some rock salt. Couldn’t find a place that sold it here. Should be back in an hour or two.” Sam looked at the glass in his hand and tried to remember what the hell he was doing. He vaguely remembered he was thirsty, but his mind was suddenly preoccupied with the archangel in front of him.
“Finally! Some alone time. I was tempted to zap him to the Bahamas or something, but this works too.”
“What?”
Gabriel took two strides forward and crowded Sam back against the counter. Then the archangel gently tugged on the collar of Sam’s shirt until he was bending over enough for their lips to meet. Even while Sam was bending over to meet him partway, Gabriel was standing on his toes to reach him. It felt very weird to be towering over an archangel like that. It felt even weirder to be kissing him. He was pretty sure the glass had smashed to the floor, but he’d really stopped paying attention to anything except for Gabriel at that point.
Suddenly he was being pulled forward, then turned around in the middle of the kitchenette and pushed backwards across the room. Sam wasn’t sure what the hell was happening, but Gabriel looked determined so he just went with it. The archangel was on a mission and Sam had no desire to stop him. He was only moderately surprised with his willingness to give in to Gabriel’s desires.
When the back of his knees hit the couch he finally understood what Gabriel was up to. Sam sat on the couch and the moment his ass hit the cushion Gabriel was on him, straddling his lap. And then they were kissing again and damn, Gabriel was an amazing kisser.
But this was going so fast. From flirting to kissing to this in a few seconds flat?
“Sammy, kiddo, stop thinking so loud. You’re gonna kill my hard on.”
“What? Why… I mean…”
Gabriel sat up a little straighter and looked down at him.
“Sam. Honey. I hear your thoughts all the damn time. I know you want this. And I know all your hang ups about it too. And it’s alright, okay? You want this. I want this. So just shut up and enjoy it.”
“But-”
“Am I wrong?”
Sam took a second to think about that. No, Gabriel wasn’t wrong. Sam was seriously debating his sexuality and it was all because of Gabriel. He couldn’t really explain it, but it was definitely there. But there were those hang ups...
“No, you’re not wrong.”
“Good. Can I continue?”
Sam took a moment to think about it and then nodded. With a snap of Gabriel’s fingers they were both naked. Sam was very suddenly reminded of whom he was dealing with. This was Gabriel- The Trickster. This was going to be far from a normal experience. And that thought both thrilled him and worried him. His desire to have Gabriel and the trepidation of being with an archangel were warring within him, but Gabriel seemed to find every sensitive spot with his deft fingers. Those fingers were making the decision just a little bit easier.
Gabriel nibbled at the pulse point at Sam’s neck and licked at his earlobe and rocked against him and Sam could hardly think straight anymore. Sam shut his eyes and tilted his head back against the back of the couch. Then Sam heard the sound of wings that usually heralded the arrival of an angel and he snapped his eyes open. Instead of an unexpected intruder, Sam was greeted with the sight of six huge, honey-brown wings springing from Gabriel’s back. Sam gasped and tensed up.
“Whoa, Sammy,” Gabriel said as he took Sam’s face in his hands. He forced Sam’s attention back to his face. “Calm down there, kiddo.” Sam was speechless and was having trouble remembering how to breathe, but he managed to nod his head despite feeling like he was on the verge of passing out. “You gonna be alright?”
“Yeah,” Sam said as he exhaled deeply. “Yeah I just… I wish you would have warned me or something.”
“And where’s the fun in that?”
“The fun? It’s not much fun if you give me a heart attack and kill me.”
“I’d just resurrect you. No big deal,” Gabriel said with a shrug. Sam couldn’t help but smile at that. Though the wings had thrown him off, this was still the Gabriel he’d grown to love over the past few months. It was strange, yes, but he had been expecting that. Strange wasn’t exactly the problem, though. Strange he could handle. Strange was practically normal for Sam.
Then Gabriel’s inner wings folded inward, essentially forming a curtain around them. Something about the gesture was comforting to Sam, but at the same time it brought up the whole ‘having sex with an archangel’ issue. That was the problem.
“And why is that an issue, exactly?”
Damn telepathy, Sam thought. “You’re kidding right?”
“When do I ever kid?” Gabriel said with an eye roll.
“All the time!”
Gabriel smiled then and shrugged. “Yeah, okay, I do. But not this time. I want to know why what I am is an issue for you. Seriously.” The look in his eyes was very steady, determined to understand him. Sam wasn’t entirely sure he understood his feelings himself, but he owed Gabriel at least an effort. He had to try.
“Well… I feel like I’ve known you my entire life. I mean, you’re really different from what I imagined but… but I’ve been reading about you since I was a kid.” Gabriel settled back against Sam’s lap, suddenly very interested in where this was going. Despite the fact that they were both completely nude, the words that were coming out of Sam’s mouth were far more intimate. “Of course my dad always said angels weren’t real. ‘No hunter has ever seen one, so they aren’t real.’ But… but between reading about vampires and ghouls I’d read religious texts. It’s always been important to me.”
“Doesn’t sound like much of a problem to me, Sam,” Gabriel as he ran his fingers through Sam’s hair. He kissed the hunters forehead gently- lovingly.
“But you’re sacred…”
“Oh, Sam,” Gabriel sighed. He rested his forehead against Sam’s and shut his eyes. “I am what I am. You are what you are. And we both want this. And that’s all that matters.” He sat up straighter and looked Sam in the eyes. “I love you, Sam. You know that, don’t you?”
Holy shit, Sam thought. The archangel Gabriel just said that he loved me.
“Yes, I did,” Gabriel said with a wink.
“It’s really unfair that you can eavesdrop on my thoughts.”
“Unfair? Maybe. But it’s damn useful. Lets me know what you’re really feeling,” he said as he stroked Sam’s cheek with the back of his fingers. “Crisis over?”
“Yeah,” Sam said. “Yeah, crisis over.”
“Good.”
And then Gabriel was kissing him again. Sam’s hands stayed firmly on Gabriel’s hips while Gabriel’s roamed freely over Sam’s body, feeling every muscle in his arms, stomach, back, and neck. Gabriel’s finger tangled in Sam’s hair as he adjusted the angle of his head to deepen the kiss. It was obvious from the way Gabriel’s tongue plunged into his mouth without reservation that he’d had a lot of practice. Hundreds of years of practice, in fact. Maybe thousands. Sam wasn’t quite sure.
One of the archangel’s hands made its way down Sam’s chest, past his stomach, and took a firm hold of his erection. This caused Sam to gasp and buck up into Gabriel’s grip without warning, but the archangel kept stroking him. Gabriel started to set a rhythm, pumping Sam’s cock while aggressively kissing him and pushing him into the couch. Sam was so lost in the pleasure he hardly noticed that Gabriel was somehow lubing him up, even though his hand hadn’t left his dick. One of the benefits of being with an archangel, Sam thought. He felt Gabriel smirk against his mouth and he knew that he’d been listening in.
When Gabriel took his hand from his cock, Sam whimpered. It felt too good for it to stop already. He wanted more. He wanted... Oh. The archangel was lifting himself up and lowering down onto Sam, moaning as he took the hunter’s erection entirely within himself in one slow drawn out motion. Sam wasn’t surprised by Gabriel’s remarkable ability to control himself like that. As far as he knew, Gabriel hadn’t prepared himself... at least not physically. But again, angel. Gabriel’s eyes were rolling back in his head and he was clutching onto Sam’s arms and smiling. He looked beautiful. He looked wrecked.
When Gabriel bottomed out, Sam wasn’t sure what to do. He’d never been with a man before. Well, Gabriel wasn’t really a ‘man,’ but the vessel he was wearing around definitely was. Should he thrust up into him? Surely that wouldn’t hurt him. He’d already proven that it was nearly impossible to hurt him. But ‘not hurting’ him wasn’t the point of this. He wanted to pleasure him. But still, there was a chance...
“You won’t,” Gabe whispered, eyes meeting Sam’s as he steadied himself on his lap. “You can’t hurt me. Just… just go with it.”
Sam gulped once and then let his eyes fall shut, giving himself in to the physical pleasure coursing through his system. Gabriel began gyrating on his lap and Sam gave in and went with it. He began meeting Gabriel’s movements with thrusts of his own. Soon they were moving as one, grinding against each other and moaning into each other’s mouths and clinging on to each other as though letting go would cause the world around them to completely collapse.
Sam was completely enthralled by Gabriel’s hazel eyes. For the most part they were brown, but there was a subtle green hue to them that made stand out. He’d always found Gabriel’s eyes attractive, but now they were half lidded and dark and practically sparkling with the pleasure that Sam was giving him. When a golden glow started to swirl around within them Sam began to slow down their rhythm, completely stunned with the sight before him.
“Oh yeah,” Gabriel smirked. “That’s my Grace. Surprise?”
“Anymore surprises?”
“I don’t know, kid, it’s been a couple millennia since my Grace was involved in the action. I’ve sort of forgotten how this goes.” When Sam’s pace had slowed to nearly a standstill, Gabriel ran his fingers through Sam’s hair and tilted Sam’s chin up with his other hand. “Don’t let that stop you, though. This is going so well.”
Sam took a moment to get used to the idea and then started moving again. Gabriel’s eyes were entirely gold now, glowing with the power of an archangel. And Sam loved it. God help him, he loved it. It was everything he’d been wanting, but was unable to put into words.
“Touch my wings, Sam.”
“What?”
“My wings. I told you, it’s been a couple millennia. So long. I want to feel it again.”
Sam let his hands slide from his hips up Gabriel’s back until they met the soft feathered skin at the base of his wings. Gabriel cried out Sam’s name and his wings spread wide, touching either end of the room with the tips of his feathers. Sam let his instincts guide him and tugged roughly on the feathers as he increased the power of his thrusts. His instincts seemed to be right as suddenly Gabriel was crying out, practically screaming and glowing from every orifice.
That’s when Sam felt his orgasm building. It wouldn’t be long. And of course Gabriel knew it. He had to be reading his mind then. Sam could just tell.
“Come for me Sam,” Gabriel moaned.
A couple thrusts later and Sam was coming deep inside the archangel. Gabriel clenched around him and then the room went white with Gabriel’s Grace. Sam was sure he could hear the archangel’s true voice then. It started as a sharp screech, but when Gabriel put his hands against Sam’s ears the sound transformed into something gorgeous and beyond description. It was like a hundred church bells and, well, a choir of angels. Nothing was hurting Sam. The sounds, the light, the warmth- it should have been bothering him. But Gabriel was doing something to him and instead of pain, Sam felt love, pleasure, happiness.
Gabriel’s Grace was pulled back into himself and he collapsed against Sam. Sam didn’t realize that Gabriel had come too until a moment later when he felt the stickiness between them. Sam held the archangel close to his chest and stroked the base of his wings as they both came down from their orgasms. It was the most powerful orgasm Sam had ever felt in his life. He wasn’t sure anything else could ever compare.
“Just one,” Gabriel whispered into his chest.
“What?”
“It wasn’t a choir of angels. It was just me. But who needs a choir when you’ve got me?” Sam felt him smirking against his chest.
“I love you,” Sam blurted out. It didn’t really need to be said, but Sam just wanted to verbalize it.
“I know,” Gabriel said as he sat up and kissed Sam gently on the lips. “I love you too.”
