About a zillion other things I could be doing... and I'm picspamming the oddest things instead... like my top 5 crossover OTPs. I only recently decided I ship two of 'em this week.
But hey! Pretty pictures, right?
{05} Edmund Pevensie/Mirana the White Queen
) ~ Chronicles of Narnia + Alice in Wonderland ~ (
I see Mirana initially reminding Edmund of the White Witch due to her appearance, so of course, he doesn't trust her. But in his paranoid wariness, he studies her, thereby learning what a genuinely kind and thoughtful queen she is. Mirana, conversely, would be surprised at his reactions, but would enjoy having a sane intellectual around who would comprehend the sacrifices and decisions she makes as a ruler, even if he doesn't always agree with them.
{04} Peter Pevensie/Alice Kingsleigh
) ~ Chronicles of Narnia + Alice in Wonderland ~ (
To my mind, there's lots of ways you could have fun with this pair. I envision them as a kind of battle couple (mostly because they both look darned good in armor), but the real enjoyment would be in watching them explore the differences between Narnia and Wonder/Underland since they both embody the two different worlds so well. Alice has a strong sense of eccentricity and general oddness to her with the things she notices, yet she is a very pragmatic person in many ways. I can see Peter appreciating her sensibility, and then finding himself amusingly confused when she resorts to Wonderland logic to deal with Wonderland issues. Alice, in turn, would admire his fortitude and honesty and be attracted to the great respect that Peter has for all living creatures. And then there's the fact that they're both from England with their sexy British accents. A little creativity could bridge that 1860's/1940's gap easily.
{03} Johnny Bravo/Velma Binky
) ~ Johnny Bravo + Scooby Doo ~ (
Their epic
one-minute romance is a small but powerful childhood memory. There was an actual episode of Scooby Doo in which Johnny guest-starred and my little twelve-year-old self was furious that they seemed to have forgotten the tragic romance of these two.
Say what you like about the countless women Johnny has hit on... he only proposed like that once.
{02} Robin/Jubilee
) ~ DCU + Marvel ~ (
I was quite excited to learn that there was a cannon Marvel/DC crossover in the 90's, but ironically, I really don't give a darn about most of it. Similar-powered people fight and somebody wins, on to the next round... no drama, limited actual character interaction... it bored me easily. Except for these two. They had just the cutest Romeo/Juliet dynamic, and the way Jubilee missed him so much afterward, and then went to find that portal-making guy to find him again, just made me squee like nobody's business. And the fact that Tim had someone so nice and fun to swing over Gotham with him for that short glorious time... I ship them. The ship has long sailed, but the memory remains.
{01} Waldo/Carmen
) ~ Where's Waldo? + Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? ~ (
The ultimate game of hide-n-seek. 'Nuff said.
