um, they aren't putting you on blood thinners? having you take a baby aspirin a day? that is standard care. you need to get in to see a doctor asap as yes, it will happen again, but there are drugs that can go in and break up the clots easily or at least prevent them from getting worse.

please, go see someone. soon. we like you too much to have something really bad happen to you!

Isn't this the kind of condition an aspirin a day helps to manage? It certainly sounds scary and I hope you don't have another attack.

I would agree that you should talk to another doctor. Especially knowing that it will probably happen again. My sisters best friend died of a PE earlier this year. She was only 21 and passed in her sleep. She did not know she had any problems with clots in her blood before this happened.

It would make sense to me that they would want to put you on something to help keep your blood from clotting to decrease the chance of something like this happening again.

That's scary! Clots could do a lot of damage, and not just to your lungs (although that's bad enough). Definitely go see your doctor!

While I'm glad it wasn't a heart attack blood clots are serious. You should definitely check with your doctor.
