The back half of s3 is a mess. BUT. Season 4 is so ELENA-CENTRIC that I want to die. And it's GOOD. Like, everything that was a problem before is still a problem (POC deaths remain the massivest of fails that I wonder if they're trying to deliberately say something about the self-involvement of white narratives????). But the Elena of it all, and the Damon of it all. DELICIOUS.

See, and I LOVE Teen Wolf ladies like whoa. But the narrative isn't there for the women, imo. Whereas TVD right now is like this unholy awakening of OH BTW WE ARE ALL ABOUT ELENA NOW AND FOREVER.

UGGGGGGH, THAT SOUNDS SO PROMISING and yet and yet and yetttt s2 burned me so hard, man. Like, I love Elena and one of the reasons I bailed was because I just felt like the show was abusing her over and over? Same with Bonnie and Caroline; I just kind of felt (and still feel) that the appeal of ladycentric narratives is so undermined for me if it's just them being hurt and stripped apart over and over. And Damon was a big part of that for me wrt Elena's arc and so idk if I can deal with them as a ship ever again. BUT IDK ANYTHING ABOUT THE SHOW AS IT STANDS NOW OUTSIDE OF "ELENA IS A VAMPIRE NOW AND BONNIE'S STILL GETTING THE RAWEST OF DEALS" SO I CAN'T SPEAK MUCH ON IT
