OMG SO MUCH WIN. I second the perfect Angel and Cordy voices. I can HEAR their inflections! Then there's the Spike/Angel immaturity, the Spike romanticism, the Buffy/Cordy camaraderie... EVERYTHING IS AWESOME. :D

Yeah, I was striving to capture a way for them to all interact in meaningful ways, pairing them off as rivals-friends (Buffy/Cordy, Angel/Spike) and the romantic pairings. Oh, and avoiding Buffy/Angel because in this story, they're over each other.

I totally imagine Buffy and Cordy standing at the bar talking while Angel and Spike have devolved into wrestling with each other and the restaurant manager is too terrified to ask them to leave 'cause he saw a flash of fang. Then some real demons attack and Angel and Spike immediately fall into fighting side by side.

Also, I'm amused that I just said to you I was actively avoiding the Buffy/Angel dynamic, then I just filled another prompt which was Buffy/Angel. My sole virtue is that I used the prompt to have Buffy and Angel move on from each other. Mooooove on, kids.
