Spike and Buffy fight. A lot. And they like it, what's more. That's my firm belief. Not only do they like to fight demons and kickass, but they enjoy fighting each other. I don't remember what episode it was, or what season, or who said it, but someone made the comment that they've both had the opportunity over x seasons to kill each other, and they NEVER did it, even before they hooked up in season 6. Should've been a clue, right there.

Oh yes I agree! I more meant it might "seem" discordant, but that people always arguing doesn't necessarily mean they're unhappy. :)

Awww, totally. I think it shows complete trust more than anything else - they can rip each other apart and know they can still rely on the other one to still be there for them the next day. Whereas in like Willow and Tara, the few fights they have are completely devastating to their relationships, and while I totally love them as a couple I think it shows something more delicate and fragile about their relationship, especially with Willow's isssssues.
