[It was the voice that froze him. Stopped him dead in his tracks, MAKO eyes wide and shocked. For the first time in his life, Sephiroth's knees betrayed him and he sank to them, wobbling a bit unsteadily.

It couldn't be... but there was no mistaking that voice.

With a shaking hand, Sephiroth lifted the device and activated the video feed, praying against all prayer that he would not see that familiar face there, that much-missed wise gaze and nearly fainted as Angeal's countenance wavered into view.

When he finally managed to speak, it was through a husky throat and desert-dry lips-]

...Angeal...?

[ It took a moment before he realized the voice calling his name was reality. He fumbled his fingers across the cool fabric of his shirt, then to his the pockets of his pants. Retrieving the device and eying it with disbelief.

His lips curved into a smile, then straightened, then he chuckled, and felt his eyes sting before- ]

Sephiroth!

[ So many emotions, he was just coming to terms that he was alive again, he was just coming to terms that he was in some other world, or maybe he was lost between his consciousness and his death. Maybe this was the lifestream's way of dealing him some sort of justice with madness!

Angeal lifted the device closer to his face, and he chuckled again. ]

Tell me you'll greet me old friend..

[ Death, or life, he needed that familiar warmth of a friend. ]

[Feline eyes fell closed and that proud neck bowed, just from the simple request he'd never thought to hear again in life. Sephiroth relished it, let it wash over his ears and mind, the dulcet tones already bringing a measure of peace to his troubled psyche.

Lifting his head, he answered with a crooked smile, but the words that came from his mouth were unbidden, unfamiliar, but appropriate all the same.]

Hile, SOLDIER. Gladly will I greet thee and wish thee merry meet.

[Sephiroth blinked; he had no idea where that had come from, but the meaning was clear. Shaking his head slightly, he then asked-]

Where are you?

[ Angeal smiled widely to Sephiroth's words, then to his friend's inquiry his eyes lifted from the device to the building. ]

Standing in front of.. Shin-Ra..

[ His eyes scaled down to the video again, and he didn't want to say anymore then that. He didn't want to tell him how he couldn't believe that the building before him was Shin-Ra, because if he couldn't believe that then maybe he couldn't believe he was actually talking to Sephiroth.

His logic, it worked for him. Besides, he'd rather just see him in person before anything else. ]

[Sephiroth, okay, one he could get behind. One person, and he had been here before. But then had come Cloud, and even that was okay as sometimes they came in pairs. But then there was Cissnei, and he wasn't sure what to make of it, the sudden flood of his fellow Gaians, from his time no less, all at once.

[But this had him speechless. Angeal had come and gone a couple times already, been in and out, though he remembered every time beforehand. Juding from his words, he thought that this time around was different.

[Angeal.

[He wondered if the gods were making fun of him with the sudden influx, or if they were trying to tell him something. When he spoke, his voice was a little quiet, a little in awe, a little happy.]

Little far away from home, aren't you?

[ Angeal brought the device closer, as if the closer it was to his eye the more he could see of Zack. ]

[ He wanted to ask him something, but he felt hesitant, and he didn't find it easy to ask anything more of Zack. Being as asking for Zack to give him his last breath would probably have to be the most anyone could ever burden anyone with. He felt that guilt now more then he had at that time of asking him. ]

Hey Zack..

[ He bowed his head and adverted his eyes momentarily from the device. Seeing the dark shadows on Zack's face, as his hair reached down to cover his face. Maybe he used up all his honor between the two of them. ]

I don't suppose you want to come around and give this old dog some support..?

[ He sighed and shook his head, looking back to the device.. ]

What am I saying? Heh.. I guess I should start by telling you, thank you.
