New Happy Fic (not Human Chronicals) to balance all the Angst!!

Mar 28, 2009 18:30

So I made the mistake of going out without a notebook today.

So I had to buy one. (49p, 24 pages long) and a pen.

And because I didn't have any Human Chronicals outstanding ( phantomreviewerhadn't put up the next part when I left) I wrote something else. And I used the ENTIRE notebook. (that's a lie, I used all but one page)

I call it, Notes on the Fridge.

If you can't read the pictures, try zooming in (using the tool in the bottom right hand corner of Internet Explorer) or increasing the screen brightness. I've typed out all the stuff from Mitchell, 'cause "he" has the messiest hanwriting.

Title: Notes on the Fridge
Fandom: Being Human
Pairing: George/Mitchell (sorta)
Summary: The result of Mitchell's trip to the post office.

"Mitchell?"

"Mmm?"

"What are these?"

"What are what?"

"These. Good Food, Good Housekeeping, Woman and Home."

"I can't cook."

"Couldn't you have just, I don't know, bought a cookbook?"

"I don't read books, George. It would have just ended up alphabetized on your bookshelf."

"You're not going to read these either, Mitchell. And if you do you'll just end up bugging me to make the food you want."

"I would not."

"You would."

"I might ask Annie. I'm sure she can cook."

A loud 'pffft' sound came from the kitchen.

George raised his eyebrows pointedly. "I'm not making anything from those magazines, Mitchell."

"I know."

Over the course of the next few weeks the following notes appeared on the fridge:

George,
Please, please, please, make these:
Good Housekeeping, Pg 17, 21, 34
Goo Food, pg 5, 21
And I think we should get one of these:
Women and Home, 2g 24
-M

your handwriting looks like that of a teenaged girl.

Aren't you glad I bought these alphabetized magnets?
I'll pay you for the food. Please?

Any child raised by us would be completely fucked up
anyway. It'd probably be a changeling or demon child
to be associated wit us too.
If we had a child you would make food.  :(

But the magazines have such pretty pictures.

Is what a joke?

You mean "Valentines Day Recipes"? (a romantic collection
of 148 recipies!)

Nope, not a joke.

You get the nicest picturea in romantic cookbooks (lots
of melted chocolate and strawberries!)
I also looked at "InterCourses: An Aphrodisiac Cookbook" and
"Fork Me, Spoon Me: The Sensual Cookbook" but their pictures had . . .
. . people in them and I thought you would not have
appreciated them on your bookshelf.

So, will you make something from the cookbook?
(that I bought, like you told me to.)
