India Accomodation

Is it important we stay in Mandrem? Arambol is a few K's north and the Lying Bastard indicates they have more shack like accommodation, plus some that are cheaper

Arambol is an awesome place to stay. A little busier than Mandrem, but not too full on. I recommend it :)

I think anywhere that isnt the major tourist centres will be ok... tho being that I wont be getting there til like the 20th I dont really have much choice... I will have to stay where you or whoever sets up camp...

Well I think I'll grab a scooter in Panaji and head north til I find something. Worse comes to worst there's a beach :P

Don't stress, I'll be there a good week and a half before you get there, so there will be something set up.

I'm not that fussed where we end up, although like Corch I'd prefer somewhere a little off the beaten track.

I arrive in Mumbai on the 16th, so won't be in Goa until a day or two after that - I'll be happy to get what I can :)

Yeah, as I spoke to you about last night, I'm happy to give you $$$ to get us a place until we get where you are. We don't get to Goa til the 19th but I'm happy to pay for accomdation from whenever to secure somewhere to stay.

Alternatively we can try to book somewhere in Mandrem if thats possible... Will chat to you about it more when I get home tonight.

I dunno.. I would love to be right on the beach... but like I said, I will go where everyone else is. If you cant find a shakck you might be able to find a house or something like nat and adam did...

Beach is probably my primary concern, that's why I'm asking. Would people prefer a hostel right on the beach, or a house a few minutes walk away?

Give me an opinion, most people probably don't care too much. You're most likely to bitch and moan about the accommodation :P

I'm going to go with house over hostel, being on the beach wont be any fun if we're worried about people going thru our shit... plus we'll probably want some privacy

I would imagine if it were a hostel it would be at least an entire room.
