Not only do I not feel motivated to study, I don't even particularly want to play Scrabble these days.

Someone motivate me.

Motivate you to do what? Ashtanga yoga? Run? Lift weights? Study a foreign language? Read some good books? I'd like to motivate everyone to not smoke, eat better & exercise.

Don't be motivated. Scrabble apathy is good.

I recommend eating, drinking, cooking, and activity therapy.

I understand those feelings, so sadly I can't give a Jillian Michaels-esque butt-kicking talk. All I'll say is do whatever makes you happy.

Is part of it that you're in a region whose tournaments are all solely becoming part of a group that says: "We don't care if you get better or not and therefore provide no incentive for you to do so"?

Not to hijack Rob's post (Hi Rob!!!), but NASPA cares that I get better and provides me some incentive to do so? I've not seen this improvement package of theirs!!! Do tell!!

Mr Rob....Avenue Q was way fun in NYC.

Studying became very fun again for me once I started studying SOWPODS (and I imagine you'll be a cinch to qualify for Worlds next year... just sayin'). Admittedly, it became less fun again when I returned to TWL.
