Joachim's used to heroing on a budget, and is not at all fazed by this new roadblock.

"Well... we can make our own, can't we? Or take our own! There's plenty of unused buildings out there, after all."

"Hey, that's a good point! All those weird unpopulated areas, right? There's gotta be a few we can use there!" This is a brilliant idea that can't possibly go wrong. "Got any places in mind we can start at?"

"Now that you mention it, I did see an old factory when I was out a while back. Care to take a look?"

Surely this will be an entirely uneventful affair.

"Let's do this!"

Tigerbat van, awaaaaay! Okay, it's really just a regular van they got to take care of things like this, and it's seen better days, but that's just boring.

They reach the factory soon enough. "This the place?" Kotetsu asks.

Booster, of course, has been at HQ the entire time. He's been kind of all over the place himself, sometimes helping Kotetsu with whatever task he happens to be tackling at the moment, sometimes holing up for a while in his little office (still on the second floor despite all better judgment), and sometimes running off to the nearest coffee shop for a fresh latte.

It's right after one of these latte runs that Booster suddenly stops thoughtfully and asks straight out of the blue, "Do you think we should put logos on the chairs?"

"Huh? Why would we wanna put logos on the chairs?" Kotetsu asks, stopping in the middle of programming an answering machine. Boy, he's pretty sure even Hero TV didn't need to go that far.

"It's part of the League's classical image." Of course, the version of the Justice League that Booster was actually on didn't uphold that tradition, but this is apparently not a fact worth mentioning. "Makes everybody seem individually important, good for morale. We could put a star on mine, Danny's weird D thing on his, and--hey, what kind of logo do you use?"

He stares at him. "Uh, logos weren't... really a thing where I come from," he replies, slightly shiftily. In all truth, PERSONAL logos weren't really a thing. Now CORPORATE logos, that was another thing altogether.

Hey, he's only tagging along because he's worried about what would happen if Kotetsu is left on his own for more than a minute. Right now he's taking a break from pushing around chairs and looking up the catalog to eat his (non-bug-infested, thankfully) sandwich.

"Squirting that much mayonnaise on your food will do you more harm than good, old man," he remarks, glancing at his partner's own food.

"Oi, it's bad enough you gotta follow me around like this, you're gonna give me the third degree on my lunch too? I just like it like this, that's all," he grumbles, taking a huge bite out of spite. "Besides, I bet you've got a bad habit here or there."

"I don't show them as much as you do, though," he replies, then bites into his sandwich, and swallows it before he adds, "And contrary to your belief, I don't follow you around either."

Which is a lie.

"Hey, I'm just honest about who I am, that's all!" Also lies. "What can I say? I'm a pretty loose sorta guy."

"Good afternoon, Kotetsu." Yuri has a way of approaching without making much noise--not that it's difficult to approach quietly compared to all the noise Kotetsu is making.

"I've brought you some sandwiches. I thought you might be hungry."

He eyes the furniture Kotetsu is working on. "Those are some--interesting pieces."

Whoa! Oh, hey, it's Yuri. "Hey Yuri! Yeah, some of this stuff is sorta weird, but we don't really have the money for fancy stuff yet, so gotta take the DIY approach." He wipes his brow. "Gotta admit I'm not too good at this sorta thing though, you know?"

The improvements are definitely a little rough, but he's probably selling himself a little shorter than he needs to. "Oh, lunch! Great!"

He nods. "I'd be willing to donate money to allow for the purchases of at least some items. Furniture repair is not a task I have much experience with, myself. But yes, these are--adequate. I admire your fortitude."

He holds out the bag containing the sandwiches. He's already eaten, himself.

Fortitude is nothing, really, compared to the power of being able to distract oneself. But at least it's a productive distraction. "Hey, that'd be great, thanks! Gee, you're really helping out a lot, Yuri! We appreciate the hell out of it!"

He takes the sandwiches. Probably no extra mayo, but don't look a gift horse in the mouth. "Anyway, it's not much. I'm sure once we start making a name for ourselves, we'll be able to get some higher quality stuff. The money might be useful for not crappy chairs, though."

When Danny enters, he looks around, glancing at every nook and cranny the eyes could see.

"It looks good!" he says as he walks further in. "Although it's...kind of lacking in the, uh, stuff department."

"That's what I'm working on right now! Hand me the wood stain, would ya?" asks Kotetsu as he works on a somewhat beat looking but still useable desk.

Danny looks around for a few moments before he spots the wood stain and brings it over.

"You know, I could...probably help out with building some more stuff. Being able to fly and also being stronger than usual is pretty good for this sort of stuff."
