I don't know. I suppose I haven't formed enough of an assumption about myself yet to have that problem.

Did you remember something you don't like?

...Yeah, pretty much. It's kinda worrying, to say the least.

I see... Please remember that it's only one piece of the larger picture. There may be other things that will put it into a better context.

I guess. I really hope so! I don't really understand how this whole thing could be seen as 'better' but...maybe it'll all work out anyway.

Why, what'd you remember, that you're a serial killer or something? lol Come on, it can't be that bad.

I'm not so sure about that.

Well, if you remember weird stuff, and you're a different person already than when you did the weird stuff, then there's no point in worrying too hard, right? Just not be the person who did the weird stuff and you're golden!

[Wait

What?]

Uhhhhh. I guess? Maybe. If that makes sense.

I don't know. It's a bit early to really know who we are, though, isn't it?

I guess so, but as far as first impressions go, I don't think I really like me.

That impression of yourself might change, once you remember more. If you've sinned, maybe you've already atoned for it; if not, well, I don't see why you couldn't make up for it while we're here.

Well, that sounds like a pretty good idea. And anyway, why not do nice things and stuff?

try to come to terms with it. and if i don't like it, then i'll change it for the better.

it's all you CAN do, man :(

But how can you change your memories? It's all stuff that already happened in the past.

notaluchador October 6 2011, 03:13:54 UTC
i mean, change how i am. you can't ever change the past but you're still in charge of your own future, right?

who you used to be doesn't have to be who you are today

But what if the more you remember the more you become like the person you were instead of who you are now?

That would depend on what I discovered. I'm sure many of us will recall painful or unexpected memories, in time. Particulars aside, I would have no choice but to come to terms with it and decide who I wanted to become.

The past cannot be changed, but we can affect the future.

Yeah...I guess there isn't anything else to do about it but just make up for it, is there?

I guess that makes this a sort of second chance, then! Like a do-over for whatever we messed up the first time, or something.

I wonder, when all our memories return, will we be the same people we were before? Right now, the person I was is a stranger to me, but will I become him once we share the same past, or will I be someone else?

I think there is something in what you say, about starting over. However, I'm not sure how far that goes. People often repeat the same mistakes, and actions cannot be undone. Our pasts might pull us back to where we once were. But we should hope for the best, shouldn't we? We might be able to improve some things.

So just...do whatever you can right now, and adapt and deal with it later on?

Maybe that's all we can do for now...but being like a different person the more you get your memories back is kind of worrying.
