Anybody who has a mobile number for me - I NO LONGER HAVE A MOBILE.

If I've given you the number in the past year or so, it's even more important that you don't try to contact me on it, because it's a work phone that I've had to hand back!

Not really. It means they can't contact me at 9pm to fix things any more!

Although I wish they'd given me more notice so I could have sorted out another one...

Not as bad as I feared, then. These days when I see "no more company mobile" I am automatically parsing that as "I have been given the opportunity to be available on the work market".

Hope this doesn't mean you're out of work?
I'm probably woefully out of touch....

Nope, not out of work. Just that I've stepped down from manager to engineer (which I consider more of a step up, actually) so no longer warrant a Blackberry.

If you want a PAYG phone I've got handsets and SIM cards knocking around you can have (O2 and Vodafone at last count)...

It's okay, I've got handsets and I'll pick up a SIM tomorrow.

Glad it's not due to lack of job. Will remember to remove from phone. At some point, could you email me your landline number?
