On joining the Wii-volution

So it had to happen...

On Sunday my recently-moved friends Steve and Christina had a housewarming-cum-birthday BBQ. Once sufficient food and drink had been consumed all attention was diverted to the Wii and the Wii-virgins amongst us had a chance to see what all the fuss is about.

For that brevity be not my strong suit so cut shall the rest of thine text be )

gaming, nintendo, wii, villa

I've flirted with Civ II/IV

Do you enjoy Civ IV? I just gave it a try recently, and while it looks pretty, for some reason it just can't really measure up to Civ II for me.

I know what you mean. Civ IV is ok but it's not as good as Civ II. I think Civ II will always be the best game in terms of the balance of style and substance.

I wonder if they'll ever bring out Civ for the Wii where you fight off invading opponents by slashing them with the remote :)

was it an impressive performance? i've been impressed so far this season. villa look unusually fluid going forward. petrov is the big worry imo. we'll probably get stuck in the mud again midseason though. it's the first time in a while that villa have a team that plays in a manner i appreciate. i like pace.

It was pretty impressive yeah. Wrexham didn't really have a lot to offer so we were never seriously troubled and we basically waited til they'd run themselves into the ground and then finished them off, which we probably wouldn't have done a couple of seasons ago. All too often in the past we'd consider the game won and take our eye off the ball and let the opposition back in ( ... )
