On television

Last night saw the start of the new series of Shameless. Still going strong into its 4th year, we saw the return of some old faces and the (possible) departure of some regulars. A good episode and sadly I didn't catch the one on E4 straight after so I'll be recording it yet again next week.

On the subject of which, coming soon we have Skins a new ( Read more... )

I'm really looking forward to Skins. I've been sucked right in by their advertising campaign. It is also set in Bristol, I believe.

I also have an unhealthy attraction to one of the actors in it.

It is set in Bristol, yeah. Looks like it will contain a HUGE amount of semi-naked teenage boys which, well, frankly appalls me ;)

Only one of the actors? I suspect that will change pretty sharpish ;)

I know. I've half a mind (well that's what I'm told anyway) to write a strongly worded letter to the Daily Mail about it.

I am also really enjoying Studio 60.

The two other shows I am watching as they are airred or torrented from the US are: Season 6 of 24 and Season 3 of Veronica Mars

Alas I missed Shameless last night, I found it on torrents though but for some reason it isnt downloading.

Yeah, I've just started torrenting S6 of 24 from the preview-rips that are available now. I may just give up and watch it as it's aired though, depending on whether I can be bothered to keep torrenting it.

What is this Veronica Mars of which you speak? You're the second or third person on my flist who has mentioned it so it may be worth my while, I guess. Gimme a 10 second synopsis :)

The first 4 episodes of 24 are available. Ive seen 3 of them and will watch the fourth when i get home from work a little later.

Veronica Mars is the daughter of a private investigator. her best friend was murdered (series 1) and she tried to find the killer. Meanwhile she solves small crimes around her college.

I came across it cos whenever I IMDBed a hot actor, they had this show listed in their screen appearances. I watched Season 1 out of curiosity but really enjoyed it. I know it sounds bad: 'daughter of a PI' etc, but it is actually very good.

I might check out VM at some point then.

I have the first 4 episodes of 24.s6 awaiting me when I get home - I watched the first 10 minutes of the first one this morning before work.

I always mention Weeds as must see TV. It's had 2 series on Showtime/Sky One and I was needlessly worried that S2 would go downhill, but oh no! It was great! Each series is 13 half hour episodes - prefect for filling the gaps in your schedule.

I also d/led Shameless (reception is pants and we were at the pub quiz) and have it to watch, and Skins is definately going on my watch/download list.

Worringly, Hollyoaks is become a new addiction of mine. Come on JP - you can do it! (and if you can do Craig on national TV too that'd be great!!)

Equally worryingly, despite never watching the programme, I know exactly what you mean when you talk about JP and Craig. But then that comes from the part of me which obsessively browses at sights like FMForums for glimpses of the latest quasi-famous guy candy.

Did you get both episodes of Shameless or just the first one? If the former, where did you get them (or specifically the second one)?
