Nope. Thanks for that number - the guy came over, after I explained the problem on the phone, he came up to see for himself and said he couldn't do anything. I said that I had explained this on the phone and he had a go at me because he was trying to help and he didn't want to stuff it up by trying it and messing up the data. I guess I did get a bit "firm" with him so I apologised but I'm still annoyed.

Another guy is coming...

Cheers!

Does disc mangler detect the drives? Perhaps you need to play around with that?

Disc mangler is a bit of software, or are you using it as a joke name for device manager?

At bootup, it detects the physical drives but fails on logical drives. I can force it to continue to boot into Windaz, but the logical drives aren't there.

There is an internal HD which has the OS on it, and that boots up fine (it's unrelated as it's not on the SCSI chain, AFAIK)

Disc Manager in Windaz. the drives might need to be re-enabled. Something to try anyway.

If it works I can be paid in Beer.

I think it's a much lower level problem than that - the problem happens in the booting phase where it does the SCSI device polling, while it's still on the text screen booting up (before it get to "starting windows" with the progress bar). The OS is 2000 Server.

Cheers!
Andy
