A frightening occurence

Two people were laid off from work today.

One of them was a classmate and good friend.

It gives me pause for thought about giving up this job. It can be hard to push through the fear of unemployment, especially when the economy is so bad.

scary moments, work, future plans

I'm suffering from a similar fear. In my case, my main reason for giving the job up is that I work with my ex, and the way things are shaping up now that I'm in a new relationship, I know things are going to get much, much harder before they get better. The best thing would be for us not to work together.

But the pay is great and I'm fearful of not being able to find anything better, or possibly anything else. People are being laid off where I work too, by the dozens, and I'm lucky to still be on.

The answer may be much different for you; for me I think the answer is to make a decision to make the job work and do it wholeheartedly...

Despite the ecomony's problems and pitfalls, you are one of those who will always make it in the long run, no matter what, Andrew. It's important to make sound decisions, but also not to be ruled by fear.
