Glad you watched 2012 "D I also found it quite nice as well, and I was pretty surprised at the amount of criticism it got :-? I'm kinda glad we shared the same opinions :-?
The thing about 2012 is that it's intended to be watched with that plot?-who-cares attitude. If I have to pinpoint all the big fat holes in that one hell of a plotline I would be digging up the whole globe by now. The essence of the story, I think, is rather the links, the connections between humans, and the human strength when facing death. By setting up an outrageously unrealistic scenario, the movie actually brought out something realistic. So in that sense, I think that it possessed something beyond entertainment value, and that's already pretty good for a movie.

Your preview pretty much summarized my thoughts for me :D I think I've read your commentary before, but because I hadn't watched 2012 (keep mistyping it as 2010 =v=) at that time I didn't leave a comment. On second reading, I agree with most of the things you said :D. It's a good thing that the friend who gave it to me as a present finds the movie pretty good too, eh?
