Oh, I loved this. (Even though I'm still in denial over the flashback. Hey, if I didn't see it, it didn't happen; and I never saw the finale.)

And I adore this line: the space in between is what falling in love feels like.

I'm still in denial over the flashback since I never saw it, yet as for the actual ending (which I watched on YT so I could see it for myself)... I've reached a state of apathy. I just don't care that that was how they ended, because I realized something: I'd given up on Kara/Lee long before the finale. Hell, I even posted about it.

My rage is sort of just a reflex response after going through years and years of angst and heartbreak to have it result in nothing. It's more of the "that's how you resolved a major relationship?" than "OMG HOW DARE YOU DO THIS TO K/L!!111!" I finally realized that this week.

I don't know. I just don't really feel anything when I watch S4's pilots. And this is making no sense. Sorry. :/

Unfortunately, you can't look into Lee's eyes either, so when you find the picture of the three of you in the box, you fold it so you can't see him anymore.

Perfect! I like this take on the folded picture.

Oh, this is delightful, my dear! One of my favorite hobbies is crawling inside our beloved characters' heads and figuring out what the heck is going on. I love that you're up to the challenge! Can't wait to see more! : )

Whew. I took a deep breath in with that last line there. What a doozy. Oh this is wonderful. I'm glad you've decided to tackle the newfound K/L canon we've gotten from the Daybreaks, because I just couldn't quite link those to the first 4 seasons. Regardless, I'll take whatever you throw at me, because it's awesome and makes me all mushy inside. Even if you're quashing my hopes and dreams with angst.

I don't mind some storytelling holes, but I have to say that trying to connect those flashbacks to everything that we've already seen was extremely difficult; while some things made more sense, others made less. So I just needed to see this through, I guess ;)
