[Andy's basement apartment] Slumber Party

Apr 29, 2006 18:42

Andy actually cleans up her little basement apartment a bit for Han's visit. Shoes are tossed unceremoniously into a pile in the closet, clothes are thrown in the hamper, and vacuuming is done. She has a few bags of chips set out on her wobbling little coffee table and she folded her blanket and hung it over the back of her couch. She's also placed ( Read more... )

Han pulls up outside around the decided time, but it takes him a while to work up the nerve to get out of the car. Eventually, he gets out, grabbing the bag with his pajamas...well...the bottoms that he got at the Goodwill and a T-shirt. That's the closest thing he could get. He also grabs a pink box of cookies off the passenger seat before closing the car door with his foot and making his way to the door. Sliding the bag handle up his arm to free up his hand, he knocks softly, gnawing his bottom lip.

The only emotions Han ever feels strongly enough to show in a not-subtle manner are fear and anger. And even then, he really has to be pushed for any of it to show. He'll be an interesting study for her.
The kiss brings a slight blush to his cheeks and he nods slightly. "Okay...but...'m not sleepy or anything..." Han will rarely, if ever, admit to being sleepy. He normally just sort of passes out where he is.

"Okay, I guess you're just practicing looking sleepy for later. Or maybe you're training to model for cologne ads." She giggles and snuggles against him. He can play at not being tired as long as he likes. It just means she gets to poke him awake if he doses off and laugh at him.
Talking about it makes her wonder what they'll do when it is time to sleep. She'd like him to stay in her bed with her, but there's no way to tell a boy that without him thinking it's an invitation for sex. Stating openly that it's not could be taken as being a tease or cold. Damn. Oh well, there's time left to think on it.

He rolls his eyes but there's a grin there. He's likely to pretend he's not tired until he does fall asleep...and possibly after he's been poked awake as well. Laughing will earn a scowl but probably nothing more.
Talking about it has him kind of curious about the sleeping arrangements too. He wouldn't mind sleeping in the same bed as her, but he'd feel stupid asking. The thought of sex doesn't even enter his mind, for the most part. That's a subject he would rather not talk about unless he can't avoid it.

It isn't too much longer in the dim glow of the TV before Andy notices Han's breathing change and sees his eyes have slipped closed. She grins and snickers quietly under her breath. It was really only a matter of time. At least he's kind of adorable asleep. In that early part of sleep where everyone just looks smooth and peaceful.
Andy shuts off the TV and the DVD player leaving only lamp behind the folding screens to light the room. She can't help but smirk a little as she gently shakes Han awake. "Hey. Still not sleepy, hmmm?"

He blinks slowly awake, squinting in the dim light. "...wasn' sleeping..." The words are a sleepy mumble and it's obvious he knows he's lying. He rubs at his face and yawns before curling up again. Nope, he's not sleepy at all. "So...wanna go t'bed...?" He's not awake enough to stop himself from asking. There isn't any menace to the question, no undertones to it. It's just a request to sleep in a bed. If she says no, he'll be fine on the couch, but beds are generally better.

She's sort of surprised he asks, but it's a good sort of surprise. Andy smiles and kisses him softly on the lips, since he's too tired to do anything about it. (Even if no one cares you're stealing, sometimes it's fun to be a thief.) "Yeah, I'd like that, actually. I might even be willing to skip the pillow fighting." She smirks a little playfully. "I do have to warn you, though, my bed's kind of small." A super-single water bed is big enough for two, but just barely.

The kiss bewilders him but he puts up no resistance. "We can have a pillow fight when we wake up if you want..." Han's a bit gullible when he's half asleep. He gets up with some effort and gives her a sleepy squint. "...I don' take up much room."

Gullible or not, there is now open permission for Andy to whack Han with a pillow when she wakes and that's good news. What better way to wake up? She giggles and nods. "You'd have to work at taking up room, I think. I didn't figure you would. I don't either, but I'm clingy."
She pulls herself off the couch and pushes the blanket to the other end. Andy stretches and offers a hand to help Han up so she can lead him to the bedroom end of the basement.

On the other side of the folding screens, were Han changed clothes, there's a small waterbed with Nightmare Before Christmas comforter and sheets. Sitting on the pillows is a stuffed panda bear with a formal collar and tie. "I'm sure Edward won't mind terribly taking the foot of the bed for a night. He's a very understanding panda."

Han will not remember giving permission to be hit with a pillow, but what can you do? He pulls himself up with a little sleepy grunt of effort and allows her to lead him to the bed. "I don' mind clingy I guess..." He's not had much experience with clingy sleepers so he can't say for sure.

The bed is small but still bigger than his so he approves. Plus he's never slept in a waterbed. Bonus. "Yeah...I've heard that pandas are pretty zen about shit."

"Pandas are the ghosts of dead Chinamen." This is said very matter-of-factly and as a passing observation while she moves the stuffed bear to the foot of the bed.

"The heater seems to be working okay right now, so it shouldn't be awful. Sometimes the water is freezing." She pulls the covers down and has to climb up to get into the sort of tall bed. The mattress sloshes noisily as she crawls to the far side against the wall. "Hop on in, captain!" Andy smiles and pats the mattress next to her, making a smacking/splashing sound.

"Oh. Okay." He's just asleep enough to accept it just as matter-of-factly.

He gives the bed a critical look before climbing in. It's quite a bit taller than his and he's used to just sort of flopping over into bed. Turns out that crawling is good. "I don't mind cold...our apartment gets so cold you cn see yer breath sometimes..." He nods slightly and curls up.

"Well that's crappy. It gets pretty cold down here before it's cold enough in the house for mom to run the heater. I have a space heater now, though, so I don't get as pissy about it." She screws up her face as though a demonstration of her annoyance at cold nights is necessary.

Once Han is curled up and comfy, Andy carefully curls around him and slips her arm over him tentatively. "I'll move...if you want. I'll have to face the other way, though, or I'll just do this in my sleep." If poor Mr. Lee, the panda accountant has to sleep at the foot of the bed, Han will have to do his job and be cuddly, damn it.

"The heat's out a lot..." The words are murmured; he's fading fast. If he were more awake, he'd appreciate the demonstration, though.

Han's not terribly good at being cuddly, but at this point he's also not terribly good at giving an opinion. Fact of the matter is, he's already asleep. He sighs softly and goes a bit limp under her arm.

She laughs very quietly and makes a slight humming sound as she snuggles in close. Andy smiles happily to just be able to sleep, warm and safe and comfortable, next to someone she's pretty sure she could care a lot about. Maybe neither of them are going anywhere, but the trip would probably be better with company.
She presses close enough to feel her own warm breath reflected off of his skin and drifts off to sleep quickly. There's something profoundly comforting in feeling like you'll wake up and not be alone.
