Day One, Trip Three

So I guess this is the third time I'm driving most of the way across Canada.  I'm so blase about it by this point that it phases me a lot less than it should that over the next 9 days or so (yes, I'm stretching it out his year) I'll be driving around 5200 kilometers.  Plus a digression down to Halifax.  Oh, minus the 700 kilometers I drove today ( Read more... )

I have never heard of Swift Current before this post. Today, I looked at the front of the Globe & Mail and what do I see? An article about Swift Current and it's steps to better pest control.

And Amanda, in light of recent conversations regarding fairytales and rewrites thereof, I order you to read this: http://aggybird.livejournal.com/92316.html#cutid1 because it is made of awesome. It has coffee and coffee and Irish Mint Cappuccinos and a dog named Goose.

Also it's good. And makes me smile.

Have a wonderful time in Regina! Looking forward to reading more of your cross-country-posts. As a passenger, I find it very relaxing to stare out the window at flat prairieland. I think I was going to type something more coherent but my powers of grammar are falling away -- literally , I can feel them. Must be tired. Okay! I like your colour paragraph. Send me your address when you get it! Have fun in Halifax!

thank you! yay descriptive paragraphs! if anything gets too purple, let me know, but I'm gonna try and do some more of this...noticing what I see and writing it down crap. apparently writers need to be good at it.

I'm glad you're enjoying your trip! The prairies certainly are beautiful! You will have to let me know what it's like in manitoba; I've never been that far.

Oh! I found your date stamp - do you want me to send it to you? Let me know your address when you get there so I can send it (and a letter)to you!

siily, keep the date stamp. use it lots and lots. it's versatile, if slightly annoying to use. I will - and this goes for everyone above - send you my address when I know what it is. until then, facebook! or...this!
