10_letters from Greg to Professor McGonagall #1 (4/30 overall)

Apr 13, 2008 11:02

Title: Not Enough (Prompt #020)
Rating: PG-13
Fandom: Harry Potter
Character: Greg Goyle
Author's Notes: This letter (and the response) follow Greg's previous letters directly. Oh, yes, Enisi means 'Grandfather' according to all the Cherokee translations I can find. Overall letter 4/30.

(Letter sent via Enisi - Raven's Grandfather)

Professor McGonagall,

Send Tracey here, ma'am. I don't feel right with her there unprotected. You said - you PROMISED - that at the first hint of danger she would be brought to me here. Will you revoke your oath? Is it not enough that I am here- too far away- to help her when she writes me about 'plotting' and conspiring that is going on around her? Send her to me. You do know what happens when a witch or wizard breaks a wizards oath, don't you.

G. Goyle

(written at the bottom in a neat, old-fashioned script)

Ma'am,

The young man isn't pranking you. My grandson and young Alexi must sleep sometime - as do I. We can't prevent him from liberating Miss Davis if he chooses to do so. Send her here before both of them shatter.

D. Runningwolf

Response:

Mr. Goyle,

There is no need to worry over Miss Davis' safety. I assure you that she is being well protected here.

M. McGonagall

Headmistress of Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry
