Love this story (and the prequel). You often have fanfic writers having Jack comment on how Ianto and Rose would have got on and now we get to see it first hand! Plus, it's really sweet to have Ianto reacting to Jack as an equal, in fact, having slightly more power as he was there first, as apposed to Torchwood where Ianto is not only much younger and less experienced, but also an employee.

Slight nitpick (I'm sorry, but I can't help it. My brain's just wired that way). At the end you've got Jack high-fiving Jack. Not sure that's possible.

It's funny cause I played the beginning of BOOMTOWN while reading this and I had fun imaginning Ianto being there. I'm all caught up, and am excited to read more.
