I've been having a lot of thoughts about cigarettes these couple months. I went through a particularly rough patch some weeks ago, but I broke through. I think I finally found a brand I like. Smoking is nice

sorry to hear about NYU. that sucks... but maybe it's good not to get too set into one path too early. plenty of time to try things. I remember when I started college, I desperately wanted to be in New York and was so disappointed that I didn't get into school there. I had all these plans to transfer... but by the end of my first semester, I realized "oh hey, actually I like it here?" Somehow by luck or happenstance, I think I wound up at the right school for my needs and interests, even though it wasn't what I thought I wanted.

(or maybe I just tell myself that... of course I don't know the person I would have become if I had wound up in NY. but I'm pretty happy with the person I did become, so.... enh.)

Isn't weed more like a vegetable than a drug?

lol, well put. and I think "relaxed and chill" is about the best one can hope for from weed. but then, it doesn't do much for me.

what brand did you settle on? I miss taiwanese cigarettes... (and cigarettes in general these days *grumble grumble*)

Haha, I think I'm going through more or less the same thing with NY.

I started out with Caster One, moved on to the minty Bohem One (which later on made me feel SICK and pukey and I desperately needed a change), and recently someone introduced me to Marlboro ice blast, and I think I'm settling on that one. Might try the black menthol one since it's a little lighter, which I'm more comfortable with, but basically it's Marlboro now. I'm open to trying different brands though, I don't think I've developed any kind of intense loyalty yet.

oh, you're a menthols girl... I like menthols now and then, but it's never been a regular thing for me. I *loved* Bohem OrangeCafe, though. you never find that kind of thing in the states, because all flavored cigarettes other than menthol are viewed as being "marketed to children." god knows kids love oranges and coffee. :P

there were a few other brands I liked too... something gothy in a black package, I'm forgetting the name. Black Devil?

not supposed to smoke while pregnant? I think people take this more seriously in the US than other places. mostly it's not worth the dirty looks I'd get if I did light up at the moment. besides, I don't much enjoy smoking in the summer anyway... it's too hot to hold fire and smoke close to my face! haha.
