It's overrated, in the sense of, people talk too much about it and make too huge of a fuss about it. The problem is, people do so when they don't necessarily believe, in their deepest of hearts, in what they're talking about. Even more of a problem, they do so often without even understanding what it is that they're talking about (and yes, that applies to fanatics as well). Religion has become a group of political organizations, with leaders who are too busy consolidating power and power base. Without looking at what they claim they're about (or NOT about), I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed in what I have seen and heard from them. I'm not sure if it's their own campaign policies, or if it's something that their parties decided for them, but I wish that they'd focus more on what they supposedly believe in instead of what their opponents are/are not. They both have a unique opportunity here to represent two different "minorities" of the US, and they could have used that opportunity much much better than this. But right now, I have heard them both talk on separate occasions, and to be honest, I'm not sure who I'd vote for if I could. They both make me wary for different reasons, and it's all in the way they talk. Hillary sometimes makes me wonder if she's passionate enough. Obama makes me wonder how far power will change him. As for what they're about, politicians have been known to change position once they come to power, so I'm waiting to see if they can fulfill their promises yet ( ... )
