Welcome. I'm also a member of the NCS, been one for about 10 years. Try to make it to the Reuben Award weekend in New Orleans so you can get your New Member Paddling.

Thanks! We're trying to juggle our budget and schedules enough to make the New Orleans trip in the spring, and we're keeping our fingers crossed. We've met you at a few Comic-Cons here and there, and we'll definitely make the effort to track you down if we make it to Louisiana.

We got a glimpse of the action when the Reubens were in San Francisco five years back, and we're really looking forward to being more involved this time around. It was quite a surreal experience to see so many of the cartoonists whose work I'd grown up reading all gathered in one place. I was working the admissions desk one Saturday morning that weekend and saw Mort Walker, Bil Keane, Berke Breathed, Garry Trudeau, Lynn Johnston and a few dozen others pass through that day. Those are *my* rock stars.
