I survived my eighth WonderCon, and actually had myself a pretty good time despite the overbooking and overworking that goes into this thing every year. I'll be doing a big write-up for
Animation World Network in the very near future, and I'll post about that here when the time comes, but here are my quick impressions of the show:

I think that was the third Wonder-Con I've missed since 1990. I'm slipping! Hope to be there next year. Thanks for the report.

I think this was one of the best Wondercons ever. I was in Artist Alley and it was jumping. The whole hall was filled and on Saturday it really felt like we were on SDCC. I can't wait to have a table next year.
My worry is that as the convention grows that they will expand to the North hall at Moscone Center and that hall is above ground and across a street. Once they split the con up it will take away a lot.

The Jon Favreau interview made it through intact, thankfully. My editors wouldn't have been happy if I'd messed that one up.

I conducted brief interviews with about a dozen exhibitors following the con this year, and there were very, very few complaints from anyone. There's usually at least one "doom and gloom" response, but people seemed very upbeat this year, on the whole.
