I read a lot of people with a wide range of views on covid, and I don't think I've seen any of this "anthropomorphising the virus". The article feels like a straw man allowing the author and his followers to feel smug for not falling into that trap.

I've seen a lot of people talking about it as if it was a person who we shouldn't cower from, or show fear of - an enemy that we could defeat by not backing down from a fight and acting weak.
