I have CFS / M.E. Have had it for decades.

Graded exercise therapy has been debunked here in the USA for at least 5 years. If you consider non-governmental groups, then, basically, forever.

CFS is a very interesting illness. It is basically the same thing as "long hauler" COVID. These, and Gulf War Syndrome, Post-Polio Fatigue Syndrome, MCS/EI, etc., are all generally the same thing: Post-viral fatigue syndromes. However, they go far beyond, "fatigue". CFS receives comparatively little research funding, yet has the highest suicide rate of any chronic illness. No one takes it seriously.

I, personally, have my own exertion approach. I don't drive. I push myself to get all my food, etc., by walking. Then I suffer the relapse. It is important to me to be as active as I can be, because this increases my strength tolerance. It does not reduce my CFS symptoms at all. It increases them.
