The poll wording one is interesting. If I were asked "If the Government can't get a WA they should ask the EU for an extension", I'm not sure whether I would pick Agree or Disagree. I disagree because I think ideally in that situation they should revoke, but I wouldn't want "disagree" to be taken to mean "so they should leave with no deal". The poll results in the linked article allow for 7% saying they should revoke.
I know that doesn't explain the issue the article is talking about, because that would imply the Disagree numbers for both questions should be higher than the Agree numbers. But I did get the impression the article was presupposing those (extension or no deal) are the only two options.
