Wow.
I read on Facebook about KLM asking the breastfeeding mother to cover up because it made another passenger uncomfortable, and I posted asking what they would do if a passenger felt uncomfortable about a passenger of a different race, as a reductio ad absurdam of their position on breastfeeding. They didn't reply - which didn't surprise me, as neither possible reply would have reflected well on them.
But now it seems this person has tried a similar reductio approach involving a hypothetical same-sex couple, and KLM have just obliviously walked right into it.
And even admitted it's because of the risk of negative feedback from the complaining passenger, apparently not aware that they'll get hundreds of times more negative feedback for taking this position.

And astoundingly, when asked for comment by a newspaper they don't seem to be walking it back!
