Advertising as a major source of human dissatisfaction and Chrome is about to lose a bunch of its ad blocking capability
These two are related. I've switched to Firefox everywhere -- everybody should, because it is objectively better for their health to have access to full ad-blocking.

That incel article screams just-world fallacy. It's like the writer can't bring herself to believe that lots of good people miss out on romantic relationships and sex through no fault of their own, so has to insist it's because they're all terrible people who deserve no better. It's exactly the same as writing articles saying poor people are poor because they're all lazy and feckless (and I'm sure you could find forum posts from a handful of poor people who really are lazy and feckless to "prove" your point).

The whole point is that "people who can't find partners through no fault of their own" is not the same as the self identified incel community.

I've reread it a couple of times and I don't think that comes across.

Even if it were clearer, I'm sure all her readers will carefully keep the distinction in mind and not allow the association to cross over to ordinary good people who are unlucky in love, in the same way that articles stoking up fear of Islamic terrorists never cause problems for ordinary Muslims. /s

Also, rereading it made me notice the incoherence between criticising incels for not wanting to use prostitutes (because apparently that doesn't fit their nonconsensual power fantasies) while also criticising one of them for proposing a publicly-funded prostitute service. (Unless she thinks publicly-funded = nonconsensual, which has worrying implications for the existing public sector.)
