Jesus those guys are always late, always overbudget and kill consumers with fees.

And, in this case, for something which might not even be needed, and is likely to be more expensive than other sources.

I'm not against nuclear power, in theory, but I'm not convinced that this is a good idea.

Re the "cake and eat it" article:

This shows a shocking lack of understanding of how negotiations work. "Meeting in the middle" is what second-hand car salesmen trick their customers into, not professional behaviour of negotiators for trade agreements.

Yup. A lot of British people seem to think that you negotiate international agreements like that, and it's terrifying.

From where I'm sitting, UK politics seems like a rapidly disintegrating amateur hour at a comedy club that's about to go bankrupt.
Which would be funny if it were not for the prosperity and future prospects of the UK citizens that are threatened.
