A fundamental flaw in the Mastodon social network As far as I can see, this is a fatal flaw in any distributed social network. You'd need private/public keys to do this securely, and I'm not sure that's flexible/simple enough to work for most users.

The US is not going to war against Russia; it's just posturing to re-start the Cold War...the "War on Terror" isn't generating enough cash for anybody's military-industrial complex. New body armor and infantry weapons systems are small potatoes. We need BIG enemies so we can spend trillions on BIG weapons. ICBM Submarines! new main battle tanks! artillery systems! Simple as that.
