I was talking to Ben about the new companion being gay last night and he said, "I wonder how Moffat will fuck it up," to which I had a sudden flash of inspiration. They're going to make the next Doctor a woman (finally!), there will be a relationship (or the promise thereof) and then the new companion will, in all likelihood, be killed off. And this is because gay woman *always* get killed off and Moffat is obsessed with the Doctor falling for humans.

That would be the worst way of fucking it up.

But then, Moffat is leaving at the same time as Capaldi, so it'll be the next head writer who fucks it up...
