I haven't read all of the automation in farming article, but I don't doubt that more and more work will be performed by automation. It is important to remember that this always has social consequences - people without work. Who buys the auto-picked strawberries when there are no wages ( ... )

Well, hopefully there will be other jobs to move into, for a while. And eventually we end up with automation doing the majority of the work and we'll need a citizen's income of some kind.

I think it probably adversely affects Russia's ability to be brute. Partly because renewables are probably relatively adverse for Russia and partly because they are adverse in one several of the ways that Russia seems to operate ( ... )
