Other Moore’s Laws drdoug April 8 2016, 13:23:31 UTC
Funny, but I was more bothered than I should have been that the vertical axis for Moore's Law wasn't logarithmic, as it should be (to produce a straight line like that).

I assumed it *was* logarithmic (although I thought it was odd it wasn't labelled to make that clear). Alas, maybe whoever made it just didn't think about it.

There aren't that many data points for Roger Moore's Law.

Clever correlations, though.

More! Law: Average readership of magazine vs trashiness of celeb gossip

Mary Tyler Moore's Law: Chance of long-running sitcom being cancelled unexpectedly vs episodes aired

Thomas More's Law: Chance of Henry VIII getting grumpy and having you killed for no good reason vs time spent anywhere near him (actually this would probably be better named Thomas Cromwell's law, but that doesn't fit the pattern)

Mohs law: Scratches on your phone vs hardness scale rating of the other objects in your pocket

MOR's law: Proportion of audience who actively dislike the song vs how hard you work at making it unchallenging easy listening middle-of-the-road

More slaw: Deliciousness of cabbage vs amount of dressing added

more law: Likelihood you'll need to go backwards and thus wish you'd piped to less instead vs length of file
