The book American Psycho is hilarious. Like seriously the funniest thing I have ever read.

The best is when he gets the phone directory to the woman's dorm of a university and tries to make obscene phone calls to them by jerking off while saying stuff like "I'm a corporate raider" and the first girl he calls responds "Dad is that you?" and is totally into it so he hangs up disgusted.

Oh yes, it's hilarious, in parts. Mixes together a whole bunch of different emotions at different parts really well.

I once deleted a production site!

The live site was in a user account called 'dev', and the staging copy was called something else, but equally non-obvious. It was like this because when the dev site was taken live, it was easier to re-point the webserver than to rename the user accounts, so the sysadmin said. I *did* say at the time it would lead to confusion...

Those one-line summaries are OK, but for real humor in abbreviated literature, I recommend a book called ShrinkLits, which does it in light-verse form. Copy isn't handy or I'd quote some.

But I do remember in full one which isn't from ShrinkLits. "Ode on a Grecian Urn":

Gods chase
Round vase.
What say?
What play?
Don't know.
Nice, though.
