Further to the man being banned from sex without notice, here's a similar-ish case:

The news story really needs to have more background on the sex warning guy.

Like if 35 women have complained to the cops that he's pulled shady sexual shit but don't want to press charges I'll feel different about than if he is simply someone the cops find creepy.

Yeah - the example I posted in the top comment here gives one example of this kind of thing.

And I'd hope the police wouldn't get away with "He looked creepy". But it does worry me.

I can go two ways on that. I remember when I was covering crime in New Jersey. Every town had a couple people in it that the police knew were a bomb waiting to happen but couldn't prove anything. And it was beyond frustrating for them when the person eventually did go on a rape spree or whatnot.

On the other hand we have Steven Avery in the Making A Murderer documentary who the cops thought was a bad egg but who never actually hurt anyone and was jailed anyway.

Accidental bigamy> that document makes no mention at all of *intentional* bigamous marriages that are recognized as legal in the country where they were performed (Saudi Arabia for instance allows a man to legally marry multiple women) - are such marriages legal here? are they *actively illegal* (bigamy being a criminal offense here, although I find this fact both offensive and irrational)? are they sort-of-maybe recognized for some-purposes-but-not-others?

Giant can of worms, this!

Interesting article on the Longbow! Never encountered that theory before. Makes a lot of sense: England's advantage in that regard - political stability - was persistently denied to their enemies, too, because the military supremacy they enjoyed helped to promote continued stability in England and continued instability in France and Scotland.
