What is asexuality? The minority sexual preference that's the least fun to watch.

Eh. Not if you are into tease and denial or flat out denial - two super common fetishes.

Once again I underestimate the extent of human perversity.

Cuckoldplace.com alone has several thousand personal ads from dudes looking to marry women who will refuse to fuck them.

I assume that a part of the problem with the housing situation is that people with houses or who own property that they can rent (ie every MP and a large part of the voting demographic) don't have an interest in increasing housing supply since they're directly benefiting from the shortage.

Unless they're not benefitting enough to be unable to help any kids they might have buy/rent, I guess.

I don't think most people are that conscious about it. But they do seem to err on the "Build more houses? But then I'd lose my nice view!" side of things.

I don't have enough life to figure out who really runs China, or how, but it seems to be one of the most realistic countries in facing the real problems.

Yeah, they're doing a lot, because they're willing to bite the bullet and do what's necessary.

(Even if it does mean riding roughshod over chunks of the populace. For their own good, of course.)

I remember being stunned when the One Child policy was introduced. Now, in retrospect, it may have been the least draconian policy which could be effective.
Most people don't appreciate how little arable land China has. It's a little dated, but there was a mnemonic of two fives: China had five times the population of the U.S. and the U.S. has five times the arable land of China . . .
