"Information Technology: Let me google that for you." Only information technologists - I am one, or used to be - know how screwed up relying on google searches can be.

The argument in the "All lives matter" post is a good one, but the opening analogy is flawed. The people who say "All lives matter" aren't the ones who are wantonly killing blacks, whereas the father in the analogy is the one who's denying you your fair share. One is at least well-intentioned; the other is not. Since cops are also known to wantonly kill people who aren't black, pointing that out is like pointing out that men can be raped. It's true, it's unjustifiable, it's a terrible harm to the victims: what it isn't is the heart or main burden of the problem.

Yeah, if the 2008 crisis had caused a closer union, with the nations working together to help each other then we'd be in a very different situation right now.

That's .... a very confusing report about women, chemical intolerances, and children with ADHD and autism. I can't tell whether the women were more than "normally" sensitive to chemicals prior to the birth of a child with A/a, or if the A/a children were more sensitive than children without A/a, or if horrible women are not being careful with their magic uteruses and just wantonly exposing themselves to narsty chemicals in blatant disregard of gosh-darn goddess-given common sense both during and prior to pregnancy or what.
