I saw the announcement and was interested in Blue Rose, until I read this review on RPGGeek.

Seems to be a simple case of someone just not liking the genre. Which is fair enough, the people that play Blue Rose don't like GrimDark fantasy.

It should be mentioned that Blue Rose is very closely related to True20 (I think BR came first, then T20, but it could be the other way round), and True20 is an incredibly well done take on the d20 system, which deserved to do far better than it did.

That productivity article is fascinating - I had no idea. But the reasons seem like complete bullshit to me. I might turn this into a post.

In turn:

1. The lack of a sufficiently educated, trained and skilled workforce.

Because Americans are famously highly educated?

2. Infrastructure - Britain is notoriously slow to approve major infrastructure projects, such as HS2 and airport expansion, whereas our international rivals are much more decisive in giving the green light.

I'd like to see figures on this, but I'd be amazed if a few extra runways are causing issues. I do think the astonishingly high price of rail fares, not mentioned here, probably does have an impact.

3. Low wages - the higher workers are paid, the harder they work.

Higher wages are a good thing, and this makes sense, but again, it's not like America is a bastion of fair pay.

4. Regulation - The more rules that have to be followed before production, the lower the output of the workforce.O hai: Germany exists. Also, I've been astonished by how bureaucratic the ( ... )
