Javascript I can cope with, and seems to be getting better steadily.
Now CSS has Flexbox, that seem to be getting usable too.
On the other hand, things like Shadow-DOM seem to be a way of retrofitting a document-centric language to make it application-centric, so it's not surprising that it comes across as a kludge.
I'm not sure what a completely clean reinvention of HTML would look like, complete with the ability to create new tags, etc.
