Blank link thing happened again.

So it's not an async problem.

And logging the RSS coming in showed it was identical for both the WordPress and LJ feeds.

And the problem happened before it was written out to the destination, because the pre-post stored on the server looks fine.

So whatever is happening is either in the Parse step or the Format step. Both of which go through exactly the same code.

Next step - tell App Engine to only allow through one request at a time, in case it's a concurrency issue in the libraries I'm using for parsing RSS or templating the posts.

Bah!

I was about to point that out, but you beat me to it...

It should have been fixed half an hour before your comment - can you still see an issue?

No, you fixed it - it's just that I started to draft a comment that they were blank - and then carried on looking some other links, and by the time I went back to finish my comment, you had posted yours!

If Marvel did a Hell Cow TV show I'd watch it.

Also, not certain about the pylons thing - other countries have different designs.

Yup, I think this is just new for the UK.

http://www.e-architect.co.uk/holland/dutch-high-voltage-pylons are new in the Netherlands since 2009, I believe.

Funnily enough, I was thinking of French pylons - I guess a variation (albeit a major one) on the classic lattice.

Going through the Channel Tunnel, the pylons are one of the first things I notice which say "France!"

Can you really call a comic book character obscure if they've had a feature film with a spin off made, well, over a decade ago but still relatively recently?

ETA: Wait, misread. He's not calling Daredevil obscure, just the other three. Which I wouldn't call obscure. B-list, sure. But not like Squirrel Girl or Great Lakes Avengers obscure.

I adore the concept and success of kickstarter, and now patreon is starting to open new frontiers.
O brave new world!

Oh yes. It's not for everyone. But the fact that James Nicoll is making money from random people paying him to write book reviews, and this guy is making money from making 3D virtual buildings makes me happy.
