On Saving the World and Other Delusions

I noticed the url on this one - "moreright.net" and immediately hoped it was a response to less wrong that lacked the cultishness, right-wing libertarian undertone, and the blind faith in singular answers for complex issues of that site. Instead, I found something far stranger - an actual full out crackpot "dark enlightenment" blog, wow, definitely one of the weirder sites I've seen in a while.

Oooh, I need to go look now - I hadn't investigated the rest of the site at all!

(And yes, I think bits of LessWrong are great, but the tone really puts me off of it.)

MoreRight is the blog that Michael Anissimov and some others founded because they thought LessWrong wasn't enough of a crackpotty fringe hideout for MRAs, PUAs, neo-reactionaries, and people who believe in "race realism", and they wanted to take all that stuff off to its own site where they wouldn't have to deal with opposing opinions^H^H^Hcould have a productive discussion.
It's basically all the people who are why Scott Alexander says "no race and gender on the open thread!" to his commenters.

I am tickled (probably more than I should be) to have clicked on a link about "How Putin Could Lose Power", and discover it's an interview with a man who wrote a tabletop RPG that I own. (Given it's "Mythic Russia", I was fairly confident this was not a coincidence of names, and Google has confirmed it.)
