You know, the level of hatred between the SNP and Labour in Scotland must now be greater than the hatred between any of these parties and the Tories?

Probably, for the more tribal of them. This is part of the problem with democracy in the UK - it's extremely tribal, and so when someone pops up who's close for your voters to migrate over to them it's more of a threat than your opposite numbers are.

Frankly, I have a hatred if tribalism, and SNP/Labour shouting at each other over which one is better for the left-wing bothers me much more.

Yeah.

And again, Scottish Labour, they know how tribal it is, so none of them thought that maybe having a conference speaker say THAT might be a bad idea?

I despair.

Oh yes. Feel free to attack your opponents over their policies, but attacks like that just make you look horribly sexist and unpleasant.

That piece on Gwyneth Paltrow & fascia leads the unwary to a rehabilitation of Rolfing. I am not persuaded.

You have finally flagged a piece which tells me more than British politics resembles an explosion in a paint factory in slow motion. I don't recall which American opinionator started calling Washington insiders "the villagers", since it's one club, cut off from the country at large.
